I’ve purchased reconditioned tools before but never online. CPO sent me a wonderfully reconditioned tool. Buying reconditioned was very cost effective also. Just the replacement part for old saw was $25, my whole ‘new’ reconditioned saw (battery not included) was about $35. Their shipping was fast, had it in just a couple of days with standard shipping.
Sturdy, strong, very short life

The construction feels strong and sturdy. On a known-good battery (performs well with other tools, such as the cordless drill) it lasts long enough to pass through through two 7″ diameter maple branches or about 6-8 4″ diameter deadwood (species uncertain, a hardwood of some sort) when using a pruning blade. If you want to do any pruning with it, make sure to have plenty of batteries handy. Also, I don’t care for the safety, it is too high for me to easily trigger while holding the tool appropriately with both hands in an awkward spot.
Amazon screwed up

When I ordered this product, Amazon listed it as a new item. I ordered the item only to discover that the listed company only carries reconditioned item. When I received the item it was scratched and scuffed up. I could have bought the product new and cheaper locally due to shipping costs and taxes. Certainly not a good deal for a loyal Amazon customer.

I recently purchased this item in hope that it would look just like a new product. But to my amazement the saw was not ‘reconditioned’ as the description indicated my saw had many deep scratches and dings on it so I am very disappointed. And will never by another ‘reconditioned’ product again.
